News of Virat’s return from test retirement spread

Virat Kohli But the news spread that this player may take back his test retirement soon. BCCI has talked to Virat on this issue. But BCCI has completely denied this. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has made it clear that BCCI has neither asked Virat Kohli to withdraw his retirement nor is it going to happen.

Talking to Aaj Tak, Saikia said, ,Whatever is being said about Virat Kohli is a rumour. There has been no discussion with Virat Kohli regarding this. Don’t give importance to these rumours. No such thing has happened.,

Why was there talk of Virat’s return?,

Team India is being criticized after the 0-2 clean sweep in the Test series against South Africa. India’s batting failed in both the tests of the series. Young players were seen getting out due to wrong shot selection, after which the atmosphere started to bring back Virat and Rohit. News started coming that these two players would be discussed about coming out of retirement but now BCCI has clearly denied this.

Well, whether Virat Kohli makes a comeback in Tests or not, this player is doing wonders in the format in which he is playing. Virat Kohli scored his 52nd ODI century in Ranchi. With this century, Virat broke Sachin’s record of most centuries in any one format. It is expected that this player will perform similarly in the next two matches of the ODI series.
