Now famous actress Rakhi Gulzar has also remembered Dharmendra and during this she also revealed that at one time she became jealous of Dharmendra. He also told the reason behind this.

Dharmendra was Rakhi’s first hero
Rakhi started her Bollywood career through the film ‘Jeevan Mrityu’. This picture was released in the year 1970. In this, Dharmendra was seen in the lead role with Rakhi. The popular song ‘Jhilmil stars ka aangan hoga’ is also from this film. Rakhi said in the interview, “He was my first hero. I played the character of a young widow. This entire story was based around his character. In most of the film, he played the role of a Sardar who wants to take revenge.”
Dharmendra had helped the actress
The actress further said, “I was just starting out and didn’t understand how to face the camera. I didn’t even know how to speak lines in Hindi. If things went wrong, I was ready to quit, but Dharmendra took care of me and tried not to let me get harmed by anything. After this we didn’t get a chance to talk much.”
Why was Rakhi jealous of Dharmendra?
Rakhi and Dharmendra were paired again in the 1973 film ‘Blackmail’. Rakhi further said, “The way Vijay Anand (director) presented it to both of us was classy and sensitive. The song ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ is my favorite Hindi song. I still hum it every day.” She further said, “I was feeling very jealous, because Dharmendra ji got to lip-sync that song.”
