
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ with students on the second day of his Assam tour aboard a cruise ship in the Brahmaputra river on Sunday morning. A total of 25 students from different schools of Assam have participated in this program. Officials said Modi will stay on the three-deck ship ‘MV Charaideo 2’ for about 45 minutes. The Prime Minister is talking to students on the upper deck of the ship.
Officials said that students from government, residential and private schools including Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, PM Shri School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Assam Jatiya Vidyalaya, Don Bosco Institute and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya participated in the program. Chief Minister Himanta Vishwa Sharma had earlier said that after the Prime Minister’s visit to Kaziranga last year, there was an increase in the number of tourists there and similarly river tourism is also expected to increase.
PM reached Guwahati Gateway Terminal
Narendra Modi arrived at the Guwahati Gateway Terminal of Inland Water Transport (IWT), which was recently inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and boarded the ship via a floating bridge.
Officials said that security has been increased in the entire area and river police, NDRF and SDRF personnel have been patrolling the river since morning. Due to Modi’s visit, ferry services on the Brahmaputra river have been stopped for two days from Saturday.
Discussion on PM Modi’s exam
Pariksha Pe Charcha is an annual interactive program which was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018. This is a special event, where PM Modi directly speaks to lakhs of students (especially classes 9 to 12), their parents and teachers from India and abroad to help them deal with exam stress and pressures of life.
During this time, Narendra Modi advises students to stay away from stress, focus on studies and many other issues. During this time the PM also talks to many toppers, who share their experiences.
