
Bihar government is continuously working for the upliftment and empowerment of the marginalized people of the society. In this series, a state level review meeting was called under the chairmanship of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare Department Minister Lakhendra Kumar Roshan. A detailed review of the progress of departmental work was done in the meeting. Strict instructions were given to complete the pending works soon and all the welfare schemes were asked to reach the eligible beneficiaries on time.
Bihar Minister Said that people of Scheduled Caste and Tribe community have been socially and economically backward for centuries. Many schemes are being run by the government to fulfill the dreams of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. In which schemes related to hostel, residential school, scholarship, education and employment are prominent. To ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the last person, the department will have to show more proactivity.

Community halls in SC-ST settlements
On this occasion, the SC-ST Minister ordered the department to inspect the community buildings and ensure the same within 15 days. Apart from this, he was asked to prepare a list of community buildings, collective toilets and landless families as per the need in ST-SC settlements and make it available in the department. In the meeting, the director of the department, Priyanka Rani, gave special instructions to the deputy directors and district welfare officers who came from the districts. He said that special attention should be given to the renovation and renovation work of Dr. Ambedkar hostels.
These hostels provide safe accommodation and educational facilities to the Scheduled Caste students, which are essential for their all-round development. Apart from this, it was also asked to focus on schools run by Jeevika groups, maintenance of schools and pre-examination training centres. Pre-examination training centers provide coaching and guidance to students preparing for competitive exams, so that they can become successful in government jobs.
30 crore allocation for Tharu community
Director Priyanka Rani asked the officials to maintain transparency and quality in all these works. The pending proposals should be dealt with on priority so that the budget is utilized properly and the beneficiaries are not deprived. It was also discussed in the meeting that the schemes run by the department like post-matric scholarship, operation of residential schools and special programs for tribal communities should be made more effective. Recently, a special allocation of Rs 30 crore has been made for the upliftment of Tharu community, which shows the commitment of the department.
