Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav has targeted BJP and the Election Commission during a press conference at the party office in Lucknow on Saturday. He also raised questions on the Special Intensive Review (SIR) process. Akhilesh Yadav appeared very angry over the deaths of BLOs. He said that the government should help the families of the deceased BLOs.
Akhilesh Yadav said that BJP and Election Commission are working together. BJP is pushing the Election Commission to conduct Special Intensive Review (SIR). In fact, reservation and rights will be taken away in the name of SIR. He also raised the issue of death of Booth Level Officer (BLO) during the SIR process. He said that yesterday in Fatehpur the family of the deceased told that the BLO was being pressurized to work faster. Under this pressure the BLO committed suicide. After all, what kind of pressure is being created? By doing this, the government and the Election Commission want to destroy democracy in a way.
Election Commission’s hands stained with blood in Bengal
Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned West Bengal during this period. He said that the people of Bengal are saying that the Election Commission’s hands are stained with blood. We have personally seen the work of the Commission in the by-elections. Booths were allowed to be looted with ease from the Election Commission. The Election Commission does whatever BJP wanted. If we look carefully, the Election Commission is working on the instructions of BJP. He also said that after the death of the MLA of Ghosi Assembly, the thirteenth has not taken place, but preparations have been made to cut 20 thousand votes.
Check handed over to BLO’s wife, demand from government
During the press conference, Akhilesh handed over a check of Rs 2 lakh to the wife of deceased BLO Vijay Kumar of Malihabad. During this, Akhilesh said that many BLOs have died during SIR. The government should provide an assistance amount of Rs 1 crore to the families of the victims. Also other government facilities should be provided. Akhilesh said the officers are pressurizing the BLO to work faster. We demand from the government that no pressure should be created.

Cleaning workers employed in technical work
Akhilesh Yadav said why is BJP in such a hurry? The Election Commission is working closely with BJP. Wedding season is going on in UP. People are busy with this and how can such a big work be done in such a short time? He said that in a hurry the sanitation workers have been made assistants and have been put to do technical work. It is being claimed that SIR forms have been distributed, but people have still not received the forms.
BJP hit back
At the same time, BJP has hit back at SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav. BJP has accused Akhilesh of spreading misleading statements. BJP said that Akhilesh should take training on SIR. Akhilesh should get this education before joining politics. It is not clear where they are connecting which topic. In fact, Mamata, Rahul and Akhilesh accept defeat even before contesting the elections.
