Ranveer Singh Apology: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has apologized. He had recently praised the performance of Kantara Chapter 1 actor Rishabh Shetty from the stage at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa. During this, he had described the goddess shown in the film as a female ghost and had also copied Rishabh Shetty’s act in a funny manner. After this there was an uproar and allegations were being made that Ranveer had hurt religious sentiments. In this matter, Ranveer himself has given clarification and apologized.
Ranveer Singh issued a statement regarding this matter on its Instagram story on Tuesday. In his clarification and apology, Ranveer Singh writes, “My intention was only to highlight Rishabh’s brilliant work in the film. I know how difficult it is to do that scene the way he did, and I have a lot of respect for him for that.”

Ranveer Singh further writes in the statement, “I have always respected all the cultures, traditions and beliefs of my country. If I have hurt anyone, I apologize wholeheartedly.”

Recently, Ranveer Singh was seen playing the role of host on stage at the International Film Festival of India. During this time, when he saw Rajinikanth and Rishabh Shetty sitting in front of the stage, he went down to meet them. First he met Rajinanth and then he became very excited after seeing Rishabh Shetty. During this, Ranveer acted as Chavunda (Chamunda) Devi shown in the film in front of Rishabh. However, as soon as he started copying, Rishabh stopped him from doing so.

First praised and then made fun of!
After the meeting, when Ranveer returned to the stage, he first praised Rishabh Shetty and then started joking about the way Rishabh had acted as Devi in the film. He also says, “Rishabh, I saw it (Kantara) in the theatre. You gave a brilliant performance. Especially when the female ghost comes into your body. That performance, that one shot was absolutely brilliant.”
After praising Ranveer Singh starts imitating the act again on stage. There was a lot of uproar after the video of this event surfaced and now Ranveer Singh even had to apologize.
