Amidst the ongoing political tussle in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar will meet for breakfast at the CM residence on Saturday. This meeting between the two leaders will take place at CM residence Kaveri at 9.30 am. Regarding the meeting with DK Shivakumar, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the party high command has asked him and DK to hold a meeting to resolve their differences. Therefore, following the instructions of the high command, both the leaders will meet.
This information has been given by the Chief Minister when reports of conflict between him and DK Shivkumar regarding command of power have come to light. Recently, the Chief Minister and DK Shivkumar had also come to Delhi and met the party high command. However, Rahul Gandhi was out of the country so he could not be met. Even after the return of both the leaders from Delhi, the phase of rhetoric continues. There is one camp in the Karnataka government which is supporting Siddaramaiah and the other is fielding for DK Shivakumar.
DK Shivkumar said- I will definitely go to Delhi
Amid the leadership dispute in the state, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said on Friday that he will definitely go to Delhi. This is our temple. Congress has a long history and Delhi will always guide us. Whenever they call me, party leaders and the CM, we will go there. My community is Congress. I may belong to a community and they may like it, but my love is for all sections of society. Don’t tell me anything, my party will decide.
Controversy became a headache for the high command!
The situation of conflict over the leadership in Karnataka has put the Congress high command in trouble. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is adamant that he will do whatever the party high command says. On the other hand, DK Shivkumar is repeatedly expressing his views and talking about the rights of the MLAs. Some MLAs and ministers of DK Shivkumar faction have also visited Delhi. Their demand is that the cabinet should be expanded in the state and people should get opportunities.
