
After Bihar, the Election Commission is running the SIR process for voter lists in nine states and three union territories including West Bengal and Assam in the second phase. Draft voter list has been released in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have made SIR an issue and are holding meetings continuously. Now amid the SIR process, PM Modi is reaching West Bengal for the first time on Saturday, 20th December. After West Bengal, he will visit Assam on 20 and 21 December. During his visit to Bengal and Assam, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth crores of rupees.
Prime Minister Modi Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of two National Highway projects worth about Rs 3,200 crore in West Bengal. Under this, the 66.7 km long 4-laning project of Barajguli-Krishnanagar section of NH-34 in Nadia district will be inaugurated.
PM Modi will give a gift worth crores to Bengal
During this program, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the 4-laning project of 17.6 km long Barasat-Barajguli section of NH-34 in North 24 Parganas district. These projects will act as an important connecting link between Kolkata and Siliguri.
PM Modi will reach Kolkata Airport from New Delhi at 10:30 am on Saturday. Then he will go to Taherpur by helicopter. The Prime Minister has a meeting at Netaji Park Ground in Taherpur. Three helipads have been built at Taherpur police station ground. The Prime Minister will reach there at 11:15 am. Modi will come to the meeting place by car from the helipad. During this time he will also address the public meeting.
PM will inaugurate the new terminal building of the airport
After West Bengal, PM Modi will visit Assam. PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 15,600 crore in Assam. PM Narendra Modi will visit Assam on 20-21 December. On December 20, the Prime Minister will reach Guwahati at around 3 pm, where he will do a walkthrough and inaugurate the new terminal building of the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. He will also address the people on this occasion.
Spread over approximately 1.4 lakh square metres, the new terminal building has been designed to handle 1.3 crore passengers every year. The new terminal building takes inspiration from the biodiversity and cultural heritage of Assam under the theme Bamboo Orchids.
PM will pay tribute to martyrs in Boragaon
On December 21, at around 9:45 am, the Prime Minister will pay tribute to the martyrs at the Martyrs Memorial area in Boragaon, Guwahati. After this he will go to Namrup in Dibrugarh, Assam, where he will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the ammonia-urea project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Limited.
This project will be built with an investment of more than Rs 10,600 crore and will help in meeting the fertilizer needs of Assam and neighboring states and reducing dependence on imports. He will also address the people on this occasion.
