The winter session of Parliament is going on. There was a huge uproar in Parliament yesterday, Monday, the first day of the session. Members of opposition parties created a ruckus regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of the voter list and some other issues. Due to this, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha were disrupted. Whereas the opposition in Rajya Sabha walked out of the house on this issue. Taking aim at the opposition, the government said that we are not against the discussion, but no fixed deadline can be set for it. However, amid the uproar, the Lok Sabha passed the Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025. Whereas Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced the Central Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and the Health Security National Security Cess Bill, 2025.
