The winter session of Parliament has started from today i.e. 1st December. This is the first session of Vice President CP Radhakrishnan as Rajya Sabha Chairman. The session started with his welcome speech. First of all, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his views in the Parliament regarding CP Radhakrishnan. PM Modi said that discussion on important topics, important decisions and your guidance in it…this is a big opportunity for all of us. On behalf of the House, I congratulate you very much. I congratulate you. I wish you all the best. I also assure that all the members of the House will take care of your dignity while maintaining the dignity of the Upper House. Will maintain decorum.
PM Modi said that our Chairman comes from an ordinary family. Belongs to farmer family. Has dedicated his entire life to social service. The political field has been one aspect of it. He has worked dedicatedly towards the society. The Prime Minister said that this is an inspiration for all of us. Your reaching here is the biggest strength for democracy for India.
PM Modi said that it has been my good fortune that I have known you for a long time. Got an opportunity to work together. But when I got the responsibility as PM and when I saw you working with different responsibilities, it was natural to arouse positive feelings. The Prime Minister said that you were the Governor of many states. You handled many responsibilities. In Jharkhand, the way you had built a relationship with the people there, the CM there used to mention these things.
PM Modi said that I have seen you as a worker, as a colleague, as an MP, but I realized one thing that there is no connection between you and protocol. This has been a matter of pride for us. You always cared about the needy.
The Prime Minister said that when Lal Krishna Advani’s visit was to take place in Coimbatore, there was a blast before that. You had a narrow escape in that. There is divine power over you. PM Modi said that you went to Varanasi after becoming the Vice President. You told one thing there, which was new to me. You said there that you were addicted to non-veg. But when you went to Kashi for the first time, I don’t know, a resolution arose in you and you said that now you will not eat non-veg. This thought came to your mind on the land of Kashi, which is something to remember for me as an MP.
