If your vehicle is below BS-VI and is registered outside Delhi, then entry into the capital will not be allowed from December 18. Not only this, all vehicles will not be given fuel at petrol pumps without Pollution Control Certificate (PUCC). Delhi’s Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said in a special conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsha, I will again urge the people of Delhi that it is necessary to have PUC certificate from tomorrow. Unless you get the certificate, you will not get fuel from the petrol pump. There will definitely be a fine. There should be PUCC for clean air of Delhi.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa further said, secondly, the trucks coming from outside Delhi carrying Badarpur, gravel, gravel and construction materials have been completely banned. There is a construction ban in Delhi. Banning these reduces dust pollution. It is necessary to mitigate this. To prevent dust from flying, it is necessary to ban it.
Third- Till the implementation of GRAP, only Bharat Stage-6 compliant vehicles will be able to enter Delhi. Polluting vehicles from outside Delhi will not be able to enter Delhi. Let me say it once again, polluting vehicles coming from outside Delhi will not get entry. You will be required to bring only a minimum BS-VI compliant vehicle, as long as GRAP is in force.
What about work from home and carpooling?
On the announcement made by the Delhi government regarding 50 percent work from home and carpooling, Sirsa further said, we are telling people to do carpooling as much as possible, we ourselves use it. Unless we adopt such a concept, it will be difficult to reduce cars. Delhi government is doing a study, we have also identified some such apps with which we are also in talks. So that a carpooling app can be made with the help of Delhi government.
He said, along with this, order for 50% work from home has been given within Delhi. Our laborers, who have been out of construction for many days, are in a bad financial situation. The Chief Minister has decided to give him ₹10,000. In the same way, we are asking the people of Delhi that if we do not correct our lifestyle then it will be difficult to stop pollution.
We will also have teams at petrol pumps
Regarding the entry of vehicles below BS-VI from Delhi and outside, Sirsa said that the vehicles belonging to Delhi should be driven in Delhi. We are not even talking about that. Petrol pump organizations say how will they comply with the pollution control certificate? In this, the government should appoint officers at the pumps… On this he said that we are giving our enforcement team on that. Our team will also be deployed there to ensure that no problem occurs.
According to a research, accumulation of dust on leaves causes reduction in oxygen emission… On this, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that oxygen is reduced by more than 5 percent. It depends on how much dust has accumulated. This is a big challenge. Dust reduces due to rain. That is why we are increasing greenery, its effect will be visible.
This is the height of shamelessness
On the opposition’s allegations, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, this has become a matter of shamelessness. This data and AQI center are also created by them. AQI stations are also installed by them. Aam Aadmi Party has imposed it. This is the height of shamelessness. If these are the AQI stations installed by you, then tell us how they got manipulated.
