Discussion on the developed Bharat Ji Ram Ji Bill is going on in the Lok Sabha. Six hours have been fixed for the debate. Today there will be a discussion on it and tomorrow Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will answer it i.e. the bill can be passed tomorrow. The proceedings of the Lok Sabha have been extended till 10 pm. During the debate on the bill, Speaker Om Birla said in the Lok Sabha that if 300 MPs are present in the Lok Sabha, then a 10-hour discussion will be conducted and the minister’s reply will be given tomorrow, but before that ensure that 300 MPs remain in the House.

What is VB-G RAM-G Bill?
Actually, the Central Government is going to bring Vikas Bharat Ji Ram Ji Bill i.e. VB-G RAM-G in place of MNREGA. There is a rule of 100 days employment in MNREGA whereas in Ji Ram Ji Bill, there is a rule of 125 days. In MNREGA, only the Center spends, whereas in the new scheme, along with the Centre, the states will also have to contribute financially. The ratio of contribution may vary according to the states.
In the new scheme, there will be grading of Panchayats according to the work done i.e. wherever the work is, so is the grading. This arrangement is not there yet. Now the formula in the fund will not be 90:10 but 60:40. Both the share and responsibility of the states will increase.
Controversy over Ji Ram Ji bill
There is continuous controversy over the Yes Ram Ji bill. Congress is attacking the Modi government for changing the name of MNREGA. Congress says that Modi government has a problem with the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. Calling MNREGA G RAM G is a grave insult to Mahatma Gandhi. Erasing his name is a deep insult to our national consciousness. Regarding this, Priyanka said that I do not understand what is the intention of the government behind this. Whereas Tharoor said that Gandhi was not against both Gram Swaraj and Ram Rajya. Changing the name is an insult to his legacy.
