The air of Delhi-NCR is so ‘serious’ these days that it needs oxygen to recover. The situation is such that Hasan Jahangir’s song This wind, this wind, this wind… Now he has become alert rather than romantic. The air stings the eyes and makes the lungs sick. The situation is that the morning starts not with the sun but with the sight of AQI on the screen. Amidst all this, the government claims that work is being done on war footing to reduce the poison dissolved in the air. Many big decisions have been taken, which will come into effect from tomorrow. On the other hand, the government has agreed to discuss pollution. This will be discussed in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Now let us know in detail what will change in Delhi from tomorrow in the fight against pollution.
- 50 percent work from home compulsory:Amidst the increasing pollution in Delhi and the restrictions of Group 4, the Delhi government has taken a big step. Within Delhi, except essential services, it has been made mandatory for all institutions to work with 50% work force and work from home for the remaining 50%. The government will impose fines on those who violate the rules.
- No PUC certificate, no fuel:Vehicles will get fuel at petrol pumps only if they have a valid PUCC (Pollution Under Control Certificate). Without this, petrol/diesel/CNG will not be given to the vehicles.
- Entry of only BS-VI standard vehicles in Delhi: Vehicles having standard less than BS-6 will not be allowed to enter Delhi. However, there is no ban on vehicles with standards lower than BS-6 registered in Delhi.
- Action on vehicles carrying construction material:Complete ban on trucks bringing Reta-Badarpur. Action will be taken against such vehicles causing pollution. They will be confiscated or seized.
- ₹10,000 to registered laborers:The Labor Department has also taken some decisions. Construction was closed for 16 days in Grape 3. Delhi government will give Rs 10,000 directly into the account of registered laborers in Delhi. Even after Group 4 is over, it will be given in the same manner.
Now two points are very important in this. First- How will PUC certificate be checked at petrol pump? Second- What is the plan to deal with the vehicles for which it has been decided not to allow entry? A reply has been given by the government regarding this. On investigation of PUC certificate, the government says, we are providing our enforcement team. Our teams will remain there (petrol pump). So that it can be insured that the problem does not occur.
Now coming to the second big question, that is, what is the plan to deal with the vehicles for which it has been decided not to allow entry? So the answer is strict surveillance on the border. Teams of traffic police and transport department will be present at all the entry points including Kondli, Tikri, Kalindi Kunj, Kapashera, Rajokri, Aya Nagar. The Transport Department has 7880 enforcement teams. These will be active at major toll and border points.
Delhi government’s appeal to the people
Along with this, Delhi government has appealed to the people to adopt carpooling as much as possible. The government says that work is going on regarding this app. The government has expressed concern over dust pollution because accumulation of dust on leaves reduces oxygen emissions by more than 5 percent. Along with this, emphasis has been laid on greenery. The government claims that there is a continuous focus on increasing greenery to reduce dust. The Supreme Court has made a big comment during the hearing on pollution in Delhi-NCR. Before knowing what the court has said, let us take a look at the last 5 days. AQI But.

Supreme Court’s strict comment on pollution
A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Wednesday regarding pollution. During this, the court made strict comments on the continuously increasing air pollution in Delhi-NCR. The court said that the steps taken so far on pollution have proved unsuccessful. Long term planning is needed to reduce pollution. 9 toll plazas built on Delhi border should be closed or shifted somewhere else. It is not enough to just make rules, they should be implemented effectively. Construction workers rendered unemployed due to pollution restrictions should be helped and consideration should also be given to giving them other jobs.
