The Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police has registered a new FIR against 9 people including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and three companies in the National Herald case. These three companies are – Associated Journals Limited (AJL), Dotex Merchandise and Young Indian. All of them are accused of fraudulently acquiring Associated Journals Limited (AJL). This FIR has been registered after a complaint was lodged by the ED. While on one hand Congress has raised questions regarding the FIR, on the other hand senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad has made a scathing attack on Congress.
Ravi Shankar Prasad said that there was a loan of Rs 90 crore on this company, but by forming a new company named Young India, the loan of Rs 90 crore was waived off and the company bought it for Rs 50 lakh. The land owned by this company on which big buildings have been built and rents worth crores.
‘Congress is making baseless false allegations’
The BJP leader said that ED has investigated and a case has been registered under Section 66. They have also lost in the High Court and the Supreme Court regarding this case. Now Congress is making baseless false allegations. He further said that the National Herald case was going on even before the coming of Modi government.

‘Looted property worth thousands of crores’
The MP further said that you people have looted property worth thousands of crores. Now the law is taking its course so let it do it. This matter is before us too. He said that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have become the owners of all the property. These people have taken ownership of all the land. The leader said that the court had rejected his application. He said that when the complaint was filed, he went to court to get it quashed, but the Delhi High Court refused.
‘This is clearly a case of robbery’
He said that you will amass wealth worth thousands of crores of rupees across India, and claim that you are being framed, then it is clearly a case of dacoity. He said that one thing the country should know is that in the FIR lodged by Delhi Police, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have also been charged under sections 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (criminal conspiracy). He said that since this is an old case, the old criminal code will apply. He said that we condemn the baseless and false allegations being made by the Congress.
‘Congress is a corrupt party which specializes in corruption’
Earlier, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari had attacked saying that Congress Party is a corrupt party which is expert in corruption. He had said that in the National Herald case, the Gandhi-Vadra family tried to loot the property of our freedom fighters. He said that the Gandhi-Vadra family will have to answer why they increased their personal wealth by looting the land and property of freedom fighters.
