What are the ingredients required for halwa?

How to make halwa?
- First of all, finely chop cashews, almonds and pistachios and roast them in some desi ghee.
- Now peel the cardamom, then remove its peel and crush only the seeds. You can make powder as per taste or keep it coarse.
- Filter the soaked poppy seeds and separate them from the water and put them in the mixer and grind them. During this time add milk if needed.
- Heat half the ghee in a pan and add ground poppy seeds to it and fry on low flame while stirring continuously until a nice aroma comes out and it turns golden.
- If the mixture seems dry then you can add a little more ghee to it. After this, take it out in a bowl.
- Now add remaining milk and sugar in the pan and cook well till it dissolves. Now add roasted poppy seeds and cook till it becomes thick.
- When the rawness of the poppy seeds is completely gone and the halwa is ready, add cardamom powder to it and also add pistachios, cashews and almonds.
- You can serve this halwa hot. Apart from this, you can also store it in the refrigerator, because it does not spoil for at least 4 to 5 days.
