TRAI October Data Report: In the October report of TRAI i.e. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Reliance Jio has once again maintained its dominance in the market by adding the maximum number of new subscribers. Airtel has also performed strongly and registered good growth. On the other hand, the bad phase of Vodafone-Idea does not seem to be ending and the company has lost a large number of customers. Whereas BSNL has registered positive growth by improving its subscriber base.
Reliance Jio remained on top in October
According to the October data released by TRAI, Reliance Jio has added maximum 19,97,843 new customers to its network this month. This is the biggest user growth figure for October, which shows Jio’s strong market hold. The company is continuously expanding rapidly in both rural and urban markets, thereby further strengthening its customer base. With this ever-growing subscriber base, Jio continues to maintain its hold on the Indian telecom market.
Airtel remains stable, Vi continues to decline
Bharti Airtel maintained its growth pace by adding 12,52,874 new customers in October. The company’s network quality and brand trust are keeping its user base stable. Vodafone-Idea’s troubles are deepening as the company lost 20,83,618 customers in October. Vi’s subscriber base is weakening due to continuous user loss and the company is struggling to get its growth model back on track.
Signs of BSNL’s comeback, MTNL’s decline continues
The month of October has brought relief for the government company BSNL. The company has made some improvement in its position by adding 2,69,215 new subscribers this month. This is a positive sign compared to the losses incurred in the previous months. However, the second government telecom company MTNL is witnessing a continuous decline in customers. This difference also highlights the difference in network reach and service quality of the two companies.
