Jaya Bachchan praised her husband Amitabh Bachchan at the We The Women event in Mumbai. She admitted that while she herself expresses her views openly and conveys them to people, Amitabh does not express his views openly. She said, “The best thing about him is that he is disciplined. I myself also like to be disciplined.”
Why did Jaya marry Amitabh?
Veteran actress and Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan further said, “I am a very strict mother. Amitabh doesn’t speak much. He doesn’t express his opinions as openly as I do. But, he knows how to express his views at the right time and in the right way. This is something that I am not able to do. This is the difference. This is his personality. Maybe that’s why I married him.”
Amitabh-Jaya’s marriage took place in 1973
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya worked together in the 1973 film ‘Zanjeer’. It was on this set that their love blossomed. Zanjeer was released in May. Whereas after its success, Big B and Jaya got married in June. After this both of them welcomed two children. The couple has a daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and a son Abhishek Bachchan.
