Mauni Amavasya

Those who take bath in Ganga on this date attain salvation. All sins are destroyed. The fast is observed by remaining silent on Mauni Amavasya. The festival of Basant Panchami is a sacred festival of Hindu religion. This is also known as Saraswati Puja. Mother Saraswati is worshiped on this special occasion.
