In the year 2026, the festival of Makar Sankranti will be celebrated on 14 January. This festival is celebrated when Lord Sun leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn. The tradition of bathing in Ganga and donating on the day of Makar Sankranti has been going on since ancient times. On the day of Makar Sankranti, there is a tradition of flying kites and eating khichdi at many places. This festival is also called Khichdi.

Mauni Amavasya

There are a total of 12 Amavasyas in a year. Mauni Amavasya has its own special significance. It is said that this Ganga water becomes like nectar. Those who take bath in Ganga on this date attain salvation. All sins are destroyed. The fast is observed by remaining silent on Mauni Amavasya. In the year 2026, Mauni Amavasya will be celebrated on 18 January.

Basant Panchami

The festival of Basant Panchami is a sacred festival of Hindu religion. This is also known as Saraswati Puja. Mother Saraswati is worshiped on this special occasion. By worshiping Mother Saraswati on this day, students get good results. In the year 2026, Basant Panchami will be celebrated on 23 January.
