Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that comparison or looking at the Sangh from a wrong perspective can create confusion. Speaking at the RSS 100 Lecture Series program being held in Kolkata, he made it clear that the Sangh is neither an ordinary service organization, nor should it be seen through the prism of BJP.
Bhagwat said on the basic objective of the Sangh, “The answer to the establishment of the Sangh is in one sentence, Bharat Mata ki Jai. Here India is not just a country, but the name of a special nature and tradition. Our objective is to prepare the society to make India a world leader again by maintaining that tradition.”
He stressed that the Sangh was not born out of any political objective, competition or opposition. “The Sangh is dedicated to the organization, advancement and protection of the Hindu society. Let us tell you that Mohan Bhagwat has started his 4-day tour of West Bengal on December 18. Political experts believe that Bhagwat’s Bengal tour is very important, because it is happening at a time when the state is preparing for the assembly elections to be held next year.
Example given from history to explain Sangh
Talking in the context of history, Bhagwat said that after the death of Subhash Chandra Bose, the armed struggle against the British ended. But the process of social reform, which has been going on since the time of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, has been a continuous wave. Bhagwat described it as like an island in the middle of the sea. Which continued continuously.
Now we have to strengthen our society- RSS Chief
In this speech of Mohan Bhagwat, emphasis was also laid on the importance of Sangh and the power and global role of the nation. He also said that India has a great heritage and must be ready to lead the world. In the past we lost the war to the British, but now we have to strengthen our society.
