It is necessary to go out of the community and establish dialogue…said Jamaat President Syed Sadatullah Hussaini.

A two-day workshop on ‘Kasas 2.0 Media Mastery Bootcamp’ organized at the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) concluded today (Tuesday). This workshop held in Delhi was organized especially for media personnel associated with Jamaat. During this, Jamaat President Syed Saadatullah Hussaini addressed the concluding session. He called on Muslim media persons to expand their reach and create deeper connections with the wider society.

Saadatullah Hussaini said in his address that we need to go out of our community and establish dialogue. He appealed to the media personnel to broaden their thinking and engagement. In his address, he emphasized that media professionals need to go out of their own communities and actively establish dialogues between different communities that connect Muslims with the larger society.

Emphasis on promoting the young generation

Hussaini stressed the need to advance and guide the young generation. Given that youth are naturally more technologically savvy and are well aware of the definition of Gen Z. He said that we have to prepare them for their role in the digital and social media space. He also stressed the importance of regular networking with major media personalities by meeting journalists, correspondents and editors to build professional relationships and promote mutual understanding.

Central Media Department organized workshop

In fact, in this workshop organized by the Central Media Department of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, journalists, experts, students, media professionals and media heads of state chapters of Jamaat were called for intensive training sessions, discussions and field visits. The workshop included lectures, field visits to major media organizations and sessions like public opinion, concerns for democracy and panel discussions on media-community relations.

Senior journalists addressed

In this workshop, senior journalists like Rashid Kidwai, Zia-us-Salaam, Aditya Menon and many others highlighted the importance of effective media communication, bridging the gap between media and communities and understanding the working of newsrooms. Different aspects of media strategy, institutional development, AI-generated content and social media engagement were also discussed in the workshop. The workshop ended with an open session and discussion, where participants got an opportunity to share their views and experiences.
