IPL 2026 Auction: 1355 players including Iyer-Smith registered their names, 45 players have the highest base price

IPL Mini-Auction 2026: The mini auction of IPL 2026 is to be held in Abu Dhabi on 16 December, for which a total of 1355 players have registered their names. Out of these 1355 names, there are 45 players who have fixed their base price the highest. Of these, 2 are Indians, while 43 are foreign players. The base price of all these is Rs 2 crore. A total of 77 players’ slots are vacant for IPL 2026, out of which 31 slots are for foreign players.

Players with highest base price

Ravi Bishnoi and Venkatesh Iyer are two Indian players who IPL 2026 Its base price for the mini auction has been kept at Rs 2 crore. Apart from them, 43 foreign players with a base price of Rs 2 crore include Australia’s Cameron Green, Steve Smith, Sean Abbott, Aston Agar, Cooper Connolly, Jack Fraser McGurk, Jos Inglis, England’s Jamie Smith, Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Tom Curran, Liam Dowson, Liam Livingston, Ben Duckett, Daniel Lawrence, Afghanistan’s Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Naveen Ul. Haq, New Zealand’s Darryl Mitchell, Rachin Ravindra, Michael Bracewell, South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee, Lungi Ngidi, Enrique Norkhia and Sri Lanka’s Mahish Theekshana, Mathisha Pathirana, Wanindu Hasaranga.

Players from 14 countries registered their names

Foreign players from a total of 14 countries have registered their names in the mini auction of IPL 2026, which include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Scotland and USA. Apart from these, a Malaysian cricketer of Indian origin, Virandeep Singh has also got entry. The right-handed Malaysian all-rounder has kept his base price at Rs 30 lakh.

Rs 237.55 crore for 77 slots

After the deadline to retain players for IPL 2026, all 10 IPL franchises have a total of Rs 237.55 crore left for the auction. Kolkata Knight Riders have the highest amount of Rs 64.30 crore. After that Chennai Super Kings is left with Rs 43.40 crore.
