
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is continuously moving forward on the path of development by conserving forest wealth and wildlife in the state. He said that PM Modi has promoted Ayurveda and also adopted it himself. CM Yadav said these things in the inauguration ceremony of the 11th International Forest Fair organized in the capital Bhopal.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that there is a tradition of conservation of forests and trees in Indian culture and the 11th International Forest Fair organized in Bhopal is taking it forward. He said that the entire state waits for the forest fair. More than 350 stalls of Ayurvedic products have been set up here. Also, 80 Ayurvedic doctors and more than 100 Vaidyas will provide free consultation to the general public. He said that work will be done towards organizing such fairs in other cities of the state also.

CM Yadav inaugurated the fair
CM Yadav inaugurated the International Forest Fair being organized from 17 to 23 December at Lal Parade Ground on Wednesday (December 17) by lighting the lamp and cutting the ribbon. During this, he worshiped Lord Dhanvantari and visited various stalls including Vindhya Herbal and got information about medicines and herbal products. This year the Forest Fair has been organized on the theme of “Prosperous Forest, Happy People”. Rudraksha sapling was presented to the Chief Minister in the programme. He released the song ‘Laghu Vanopaj Hamari Shaan’ encouraging minor forest produce. He also formally released the wellness kit equipped with the new logo and various products of Vindhya Herbal.
8 new Ayurvedic colleges will open
During this, CM said that today many products of minor forest produce are available in the market. When allopathic medicines do not provide relief, people turn to Ayurveda. He said that there is a storehouse of Ayurvedic medicines in every house. In the present scenario, medical science is praiseworthy but Ayurvedic products also have their own importance. He said that during the Corona period, Ayurvedic decoction was like nectar for the world. He said that our government is also working towards promoting Ayurvedic medicine and yoga. He told that earlier there were only 7 government Ayurvedic colleges in the state, in the last one year we have decided to open 8 new government Ayurvedic colleges.

‘Cheetahs will be settled in Nauradehi Sanctuary’
The Chief Minister said that the state government is economically empowering primary forest produce cooperative societies, district unions and Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backward Classes. He said that steps have been taken towards financially empowering those collecting tendu leaves and other forest produce by giving them bonus on these. The state government is increasing the minimum support price of 32 minor forest produce by 25 percent through TRIFED. He said that the state government is working towards the conservation of wildlife and increasing the number of national parks and sanctuaries. In the year 2026, leopards will be settled in Nauradehi Sanctuary, which is going to be built in the name of Rani Durgavati. Work is underway to bring wild rhinos and giraffes to Madhya Pradesh soon.

Stalls from other states were also set up in the fair.
Further in his address, CM Yadav said that in the Van Fair, district unions, forests, Van Dhan Kendras, herb collectors, producers, Ayurvedic medicine manufacturers, manufacturers and sellers of traditional food items of the state will exhibit and sell their products. In the fair, there will be 10 government stalls, 24 stalls of other states, 16 exhibition stalls, 136 private stalls, 26 food stalls, in which the taste of Dalpania of Alirajpur, Van Rasoi of Chhindwara and Gondi cuisine of Bandhavgarh will be available.
Minister of State for Forest and Environment also addressed
Apart from the CM, Minister of State for Forest and Environment Dilip Ahirwar also addressed the fair. He said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yadav, the Forest Department is also enriching small entrepreneurs through minor forest produce. Meanwhile, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Union Limited, Dr. Sameeta Rajoura said that Madhya Pradesh has achieved the leading position in the country in the conservation of forests and wildlife. Forests are the basis of our natural lifestyle. Van Mela was started in 2001.
MLA Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Municipal Corporation Chairman Mr. Kishan Suryavanshi, Additional Chief Secretary Forest Mr. Ashok Varnwal along with other senior officers of the Forest Department, employees and general public were present in the program.
