India receives last consignment of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters, will be deployed on Pakistan border

December 17, 2025 by Uma Shankar

India has received the last consignment of AH-64E Apache attack helicopters from America. With this, the supply of 6 Apache helicopters worth $796 million made with America in the year 2020 has been completed. The deployment of these helicopters is going to provide a decisive boost to the air offensive capability of the Indian Army, especially at a time when the regional security situation remains sensitive.

However, the supply of these Apache helicopters was behind schedule. Earlier, they were to reach India in early 2024, but the first consignment arrived in July 2025. After this, it was said that the last consignment would arrive only after a month or two. But now with the arrival of the final consignment the deal has been formally completed. It is believed that due to Apache helicopters, the Indian Army will now become stronger than before. It is being told that helicopters will be deployed on Pakistan borders.

Deadly weapons for modern warfare

AH-64E Apache is counted among the most dangerous attack helicopters in the world. Weapons experts say that it is equipped with 30 mm chain gun, Hellfire anti-tank missiles and state-of-the-art rocket system. This helicopter is capable of accurately attacking enemy tanks, armored vehicles and forward fronts. Army soldiers can easily use it after training. The Longbow radar installed in the AH-64E can identify multiple targets simultaneously and engage them on priority basis. Apart from this, thermal imaging and night vision systems make it extremely lethal in modern warfare.

Capable in all weather and all terrain

The biggest feature of Apache helicopters is its ability to operate in all weather conditions. Be it day or night, bad weather or inaccessible mountainous terrain, Apache can attack effectively in every situation. It is adept at flying very close to the ground and attacking while avoiding enemy radar.

Strength will increase on the borders

These Apache helicopters will serve as quick reaction force for the army in the border areas. In case of any emergency on the China and Pakistan border, these helicopters will be able to take immediate response. The deployment of Apache helicopters will not only give the Indian Army a strategic edge, but will also provide strong assurance of air support and security to the ground troops.
