According to Vastu, trees and plants in the house not only provide oxygen, but trees and plants maintain the flow of positive energy in the house. Planting plants like money plant and basil brings happiness and prosperity in the house. There are some plants which, if kept in the house, bring bad luck.

Such plants cause Vaastu defects in the house. Due to these Vaastu defects the financial condition of the house deteriorates. There is a shortage of money at home. The family members get buried under the burden of debt. In such a situation, let us know which five plants should not be planted in the house?

cactus or cacti

Thorny plants like cactus or hawthorn are often kept or planted in the house, but in Vastu Shastra, these plants are prohibited from being planted in the house. Planting these plants in the house brings negative energy. There may be discord among family members, hence do not install these in the house.

Ficus religiosa

Peepal tree is considered very special in Hindu religion. Gods reside in Peepal. It is worshipped, but having Peepal in the boundary walls of the house is not considered auspicious. According to the scriptures, growing Peepal tree in the house leads to poverty. If a Peepal tree grows in the courtyard or wall of the house, it should be removed with full respect and planted at another place.

Mehndi

It is common to have a henna plant in the balcony or courtyard, but according to Vastu, negative powers reside in the henna plant. Its smell affects the happiness and peace of the house, hence to maintain the positive energy of the house, the henna plant should be planted outside the house.

bonsai

The natural growth of bonsai is artificially stopped. According to Vastu Shastra, a plant which does not reach its desired height can hinder the progress of the family. Planting this plant in the house stops business. In such a situation, do not plant a Bonsai plant at home.

dried plants

Attention must be paid to the dried plants in the house. According to Vastu, withered or dry plants in the house are considered symbols of stalled progress and bad luck, hence dry and dead plants should be taken out from the house immediately.
