The sons of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan have said they fear they may never see their father again as he is being mentally tortured in a ‘death cell’. Suleman Khan said that he has not spoken to his father for months. He is in jail since August 2023. Qasim told the conditions in which his father was kept.
Qasim said that he has been in a solitary cell for more than two years, where he gets dirty water. There are prisoners around him who are dying of hepatitis, the conditions are very bad and at the same time he is completely isolated from contact with any human being.
Live in the cell 23 hours a day
Qasim said that his father was being subjected to ‘mental torture’. Qasim told that even the jail guard is not allowed to talk to Imran Khan. This is the condition of those who led the country from 2018 to 2022. Suleman said that he spends 23 hours a day in his father’s cell, that cell is no less than a death cell. He said that an army spokesperson announced on Friday that Imran Khan is now officially in complete isolation. They have been fired upon three times already.
This is not according to the law
Qasim said that his father has been kept in very poor conditions which are not suitable for any kind of prisoner according to international law. The sons’ words are similar to what a sister of Imran Khan had told after getting permission to meet the former cricketer in jail at the beginning of the month.
Qasim said that his father would never make any deal and would not leave his remaining party members to die and rot in jail. Instead they will remain in those conditions, happy to rot. He said that this means that he wants to free Pakistan from corruption.
