US President Donald Trump on Tuesday once again reiterated his claim to stop the military conflict between India and Pakistan. Trump said that he ended some eight wars and for this he should be honored with the Nobel Prize. Referring to the Russia-Ukraine war in a cabinet meeting, the US President said, we have ended eight wars and now we are going to end another war.
He said that every time I end a war, they say, if President Trump ends that war, he will get the Nobel Prize. And if I stop that war, they say, okay, they won’t get it for this war, but if they stop the next war, they will definitely get (reward) for that.
‘I should get a Nobel Prize for every war’
Trump said that now he is saying, if he succeeds in ending the Russia-Ukraine war, he will get the Nobel Prize. What about the remaining eight wars? Think about all the wars I have stopped, including the India-Pakistan military conflict. I should get a Nobel Prize for every war, but I don’t want to be greedy.
More concern about people being killed in wars
The US President said that he is more concerned about the people being killed in these wars. He said that Venezuelan activist Maria Corina Machado Perisca, who will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025, had said that he (Trump) deserves the Nobel Prize. Trump had announced on social media on May 10 that India and Pakistan had agreed to a complete and immediate end to the military conflict after hours-long talks brokered by the US.
Trump has repeated his words about 60 times
Let us tell you that Trump has repeated his claim at least 60 times that he helped stop the military conflict between India and Pakistan. However, India has consistently denied any third party interference. India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22, under which several terrorist hideouts were targeted in Pakistan and occupied Kashmir (PoK). After this a military conflict broke out between the two sides.
