Regarding pollution in Delhi, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi said that how many of our honorable ministers in NCR are working with or without air purifiers? Asking the question, how many of them have problems like chest congestion, cough, blocked nose or runny nose? We wish them all good health. But, isn’t it their duty to protect their people before they protect themselves?
He said that the officers are working in offices with purifiers, traveling in cars with purifiers and living in houses with purifiers, how will they know the quality of the outside air? And all at government expense? While many people are troubled by chest tightness, runny nose, sneezing and cough and they also have fever. He said that he was feeling less energy. Everyone needs healthy air. It is a right.
How officials who are working in offices with purifiers, driving in a car with purifier, and living in a house with purifiers know the air quality outside?
Also All at official costs?
While many are suffering from chest congestion, running noses, sneezing and coughing.

Also appealed to PM Modi
It should be recorded in the white paper that what is the reason for the current crisis? Who and what brought us to this situation? The former IPS appealed to PM Modi and asked him to hold a virtual meeting every month with the Chief Ministers and Chief Secretaries of Delhi and surrounding states. He said that if this happens under your supervision then people will be assured that the problem is being solved.
The former IPS officer on Saturday had sharply criticized the way Delhi was handling the pollution crisis and urged government officials to come out of ‘sanitised’ meeting rooms and onto the smog-filled streets.
He said that if every agency plays its role with leadership, visibility, consistency and coordination, then air pollution in NCR can be controlled effectively.
‘It is the result of lack of proper coordination in governance’
The former IPS said that the country’s air-pollution crisis is not an accident today. This is the result of lack of proper coordination in governance for decades. He said that now we need a complete change towards a collaborative administration. Instead of blaming each other, one should think carefully and work towards finding a solution.
He said that instead of repeatedly sitting in the office and taking decisions, emphasis has been laid on presence in the field. The best sensitization is to come out every day, in the field, under the open sky and breathe in the air, this is the most important rule. He said it is necessary to come out of the sanitized enclosures and walk on the streets.
