
Protest by radicals has started near the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. This demonstration is being led by some young radicals of the July Uprising. The name of the organization is Oike July. These radicals are protesting near the High Commission demanding to bring back Sheikh Hasina from Delhi. Protestors are also raising slogans against Delhi and Dhaka near the Indian High Commission.
According to The Daily Star, in view of the demonstration, the Bangladesh government has deployed heavy police outside the High Commission. In view of the protest, the Indian Visa Center in Dhaka has been closed. The Visa Center has given this information on its website.
In view of the possibility of violent protests, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on WednesdayAmbassador of Bangladesh had summoned him. India expressed its displeasure to the Bangladeshi Ambassador over the anti-India campaign in Dhaka. Also, the Bangladesh Ambassador was given some instructions related to the security of the Indian High Commission located in Dhaka.
Demonstration in Dhaka after Yunus’ speech
On Tuesday (16 December), Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Mohammad Yunus issued an address to the country. In this address, Yunus said that Sheikh Hasina wants to return to Dhaka between the elections. A complete plan is being woven for this. Bangladesh is being destabilized.
Yunus also linked the recent attack on Usman Hadi in Dhaka to Sheikh Hasina. After this statement of Yunus, some rebels of the July Movement announced to demonstrate outside the Indian High Commission.
