Why was the funeral held quietly?
Recently, UAE based filmmaker Hamad Al Reiyami met Hema Malini and shared a picture of this meeting on his Instagram handle. During this, he also quoted Hema Malini and explained the reason for performing the last rites of Dharmendra quietly.
He wrote, “On the third day of mourning, I went to meet the famous artist Hema Malini, wife of the late superstar Dharmendra. This was the first time I had met her face to face, although I had seen her from a distance many times before. But, this time there was something different. A painful, heart-breaking moment, a grief that is almost incomprehensible, no matter how hard I try. I sat with her and I could see an inner turmoil on her face. Which she was completely trying to hide.”
