A very horrifying video has emerged from Khost, the eastern province of Afghanistan. In this video viral on social media, it is seen that in a big stadium, a criminal was not publicly hanged but was given death sentence by shooting.
The most shocking thing is that the bullet was fired by a 13-year-old boy, whose 13 family members, including 9 children, were killed.

According to Afghan Taliban officials, the name of the killed person was Mangal. Let us tell you that after returning to power in 2021, Taliban is implementing strict Shariat law in Afghanistan. This includes public hanging and flogging. This incident is said to be the 11th official execution by the Taliban after returning to power.

Why did the 13 year old boy open fire?

According to reports, criminal Mangal had brutally murdered a man Abdul Rehman and 12 other members of his family. The Supreme Court of Afghanistan had convicted him of murder. After all the court proceedings were completed, the Taliban gave the option to the victim’s family to forgive Mangal if they wanted. But the family demanded justice. Finally, the 13-year-old family member who died was asked if he wanted to forgive the perpetrator. The boy clearly refused and he himself went on the stage and fired at the criminal.

More than 80,000 people came to watch

There was such a huge crowd in the stadium in Khost city that not only the seats but even the field and surrounding walls were filled. According to local reports, about 80,000 people came to watch this public hanging. As soon as the sound of five bullets echoed, religious slogans started being raised in the crowd. The Taliban’s Supreme Court issued a statement saying that this is Qisas i.e. a punishment of revenge, and it has been given according to Islamic Sharia.

There is international condemnation

After this incident came to light, there was sharp criticism from all over the world. UN Special Envoy for Afghanistan Richard Bennett called it inhumane, cruel and against international law. He demanded from the Taliban that such public hangings and revenge killings should be stopped immediately. On the other hand, some local people are also supporting it by calling it Islamic justice.
