
In the Haryana Cabinet meeting held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, approval was given to make Hansi a new district. With this decision, Hansi will be the 23rd district of Haryana state.
The State Reorganization Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar had approved the formation of district Hansi and recommended it in its meeting held on December 9, 2025. Later Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini Approved by.
Total 110 villages, 3 tehsils and 3 blocks
A total of 110 villages of Hansi and Narnaund assembly constituencies, which are currently part of Hisar district, will be included in the proposed district Hansi. The new district will have two sub-divisions—Hansi and Narnaund—which will be separated from Hisar district.
Additionally, the proposed district will include three tehsils—Hansi, Narnaund and Bas—and one sub-tehsil, Khedi Jalab. There will also be three blocks in the district, Hansi-1, Hansi-2 and Narnaund.
It is noteworthy that with the objective of ensuring better access to citizen-centric services, increasing administrative efficiency, improving inter-departmental coordination and ensuring effective and timely availability of government services to the people of Hansi region, this proposal was sent by the Deputy Commissioner of Hisar to the State Government through Hisar Divisional Commissioner.
