
The government has accepted the cyber attack on Delhi Airport. Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu gave this information in Rajya Sabha. Naidu said that there was a cyber attack on Delhi Airport. The GPS signals of the planes were tampered with. GPS spoofing took place at IGI Airport on 10 November. Cyber attack was attempted on seven airports including Delhi and Kolkata.
In fact, a few days ago, after a sudden malfunction in the traffic system of Delhi Airport, a high level investigation was started. Flight operations were affected for more than 12 hours. More than 700 domestic and international flights were delayed.
At the same time, some flights were cancelled. After about 48 hours, airport operations returned to normal. In the meeting held regarding this, the airport, security agencies and all other stakeholders were called.
On the issue of GPS spoofing at IGI Airport, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu replied in the House.
He said “Some flights reported GPS spoofing in the vicinity of IGIA, New Delhi while using GPS based landing procedures, while approaching on RWY 10.
