
A big and relief news has come out for the Indian community living in America. Now there will be no need to travel long distances or wait long for many consular services including passport, visa, OCI. The Consulate General of India in Los Angeles (CGI Los Angeles) has announced the opening of a new Indian Consular Application Center (ICAC), which will start functioning from 15 December 2025.
This new center will be operated by VFS Global and will directly benefit millions of Indians living in Southern California and Aspa areas.
Where and when will the service start?
The new Indian Consular Application Center has opened in Downtown Los Angeles at 800 S Figueroa Street, Suite 1210, Los Angeles, CA 90017. The center will work from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 9:00 am.

The special thing is that considering the convenience of the applicants, services will be provided on Saturday also, which will provide great relief to the working people.
What services will be available
In this new centre, almost all the necessary consular services will be available for the Indian expatriate community. People will not have to visit different offices for these services. These include:
- Indian passport related services
- visa application
- OCI card
- Renunciation of Indian Citizenship
- Global Entry Program (GEP)
- Attestation of documents and other miscellaneous services

CGI Los Angeles, while sharing this information through social media, said that this center has been opened keeping in mind the growing needs of the Indian diaspora. This will not only make the process easier but will also save time. This center will act as a one-stop solution for Indians living in Los Angeles and surrounding states.
