
Lord Krishna Teachings: Geeta Jayanti is that sacred occasion when Lord Shri Krishna During the war of Mahabharata, he gave divine teachings of Dharma, Bhakti and Karma to Arjuna. Apart from this, verses of Chapter 2 and 12 of Bhagavad Gita are also specially read. Method of recitation and worship
On the day of Geeta Jayanti, devotees take bath in the morning and wear clean and pure clothes. After this, they sit in front of the picture/statue of Lord Krishna installed in the place of worship or in the house and recite and study the Bhagavad Gita. At the time of recitation, it is considered mandatory to concentrate and devote the mind completely to the devotion of God. Special sermons, bhajan-kirtan and meditation programs are also organized on this occasion at many places.
