The committee asked to appear again after 15 days
According to sources, some members in the meeting asked whether the Ministry was ready to deal with such a situation after the implementation of the revised Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules and whether IndiGo did this as a pressure strategy to get exemption from the new system of duty of pilots. Representatives of Indigo and DGCA did not give satisfactory answers. After this, the committee has again asked both (Indigo and DGCA) to appear before the committee after 15 days.
Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience caused to passengers, IndiGo and DGCA tried to put the entire blame on weather and other technical problems. The committee decided to wait for the report of the four-member committee constituted by the Civil Aviation Ministry, whose report is expected to be submitted by December 28.
