It has been learned that all the deceased and injured are residents of Murshidabad.
However, due to fog on Saturday PM Modi PM Modi’s helicopter could not land in Taherpur and PM Modi addressed the gathering over phone.

Four BJP supporters died
According to railway sources, the accident happened between Tahirpur and Badkulla. BJP supporters were going to the meeting place from the railway track. At that very moment this accident happened. The injured have been admitted to Shaktinagar Hospital.
Ramprasad Ghosh (74), Muktipada Sutradhar (55) and Gopinath Das (35) died on the spot in the accident. All three live in Baryan police station area. Bhairav Ghosh (47) died after being taken to the hospital in critical condition. Another person has also been seriously injured in this incident, who is undergoing treatment.
