Its taste is so wonderful that it is liked by people of all ages. Some people even like to eat Gajak with peanuts. But do you know that Gajak is being adulterated and sold. In some, straw is being mixed, while in others jaggery and cheap sugar syrup are being mixed. Many times the previous season’s Gajak is being sold with new packaging. In such a situation, it can also harm health.

Make sesame gajak like this

Making sesame gajak is quite easy. For this, take 1 cup sesame, ¾ cup jaggery, 1 tablespoon ghee and half teaspoon cardamom powder. Now lightly roast the sesame seeds on low flame. Heat ghee in a pan and add jaggery and melt it. Cook the syrup until it becomes stringy or hard. Add sesame seeds and cardamom powder and mix immediately. Put the mixture in a greased plate and roll it out. When it cools down, cut it into square pieces.

Try Peanut Gajak

Peanut Gajak also tastes very tasty. To make this, take 1 cup peanuts, 1 cup jaggery, 1 tablespoon ghee. Now roast the peanuts and remove the peel. Melt jaggery with ghee in a pan. Cook the syrup until it hardens. Add peanuts to it and mix well. Spread the mixture on a greased surface and roll it. Cut when set.

Make Til-Mawa Gajak

You can also make Gajak at home with sesame seeds and mawa. For this you need 1 cup sesame, half cup mawa, half cup sugar, 1 tablespoon ghee and 2 teaspoons cashew almonds. First of all, roast the sesame seeds. Now add ghee in the pan and fry the mawa until it turns light pink. Prepare syrup by adding 23 tablespoons of water to sugar. Mix mawa, sesame seeds and dry fruits in syrup. Now spread the mixture in a plate and let it set. Cut when cooled.

Dry fruit gajak is also delicious

To make dry fruit gajak, take ¼ cup cashew nuts, ¼ cup almonds, 2 tbsp pistachios, ½ cup sesame, ¾ cup jaggery and 1 tbsp ghee. Now lightly fry all the dry fruits and sesame seeds. Make a strong syrup by melting jaggery with ghee. After this add more sesame seeds to it. Spread it on a plate, roll it and let it set. Cut into your preferred shape.

Make chocolate gajak for children

To make Chocolate Gajak, take ½ cup sesame seeds, ½ cup peanuts, ½ cup (melted) dark chocolate. Now lightly fry sesame seeds and peanuts. After this, prepare the syrup by melting the jaggery. Mix sesame and peanuts in syrup and spread it in the plate. Spread melted chocolate on top. Set in the fridge for 20 minutes and cut into pieces.
