Eating what reduces the risk of dementia? Shocking claim in new research

Many people like to eat cheese. It is added to everything from pizza to sandwiches and many other foods to enhance the taste. A research has also been done regarding the health benefits of cheese. It has been said that the risk of dementia can be reduced in people who eat cheese at least once a week. This study was conducted on Japanese elders, whose age was more than 65 years. Scientists doing research claim that the risk of dementia can be reduced by 24 percent in those who eat cheese.

In such a situation, consumption of cheese is very beneficial and it can reduce the risk of dementia i.e. loss of memory in the elderly.

What really protects against dementia?

Cheese has been said to reduce the risk of dementia, but research has shown that it does not prevent dementia in every case. This research only shows the relationship between the two and does not say that eating cheese will not cause dementia. Scientists also say that the overall diet and lifestyle of those who ate cheese was better. In such a situation, it is also possible that eating cheese has reduced the risk. In such a situation, on the basis of this research, it can be said that cheese can reduce the risk of dementia, but it is not that it is a medicine for it or that it can reduce the risk in every case.

What cheese should be included in the diet?

Dr. Subhash Giri, Professor in the Department of Medicine at RML Hospital, Delhi, says that any person should eat cheese only on the advice of his doctor. Based on limited research alone, it should not be assumed that it will reduce the risk of dementia.
