In which a list of what to do and what not to do while coming to a government office is given.
Reason for issuing the circular?
Regarding issuing the circular, it was said that the department has received complaints from the public and some organizations that some employees are working in the state government offices wearing bad clothes. Although employees have been asked to wear proper clothes, many people are not following the instructions. This is the reason why a circular has been issued and it has been said to follow it seriously.
What did the employee association say?
Karnataka State Government Employees Association President C.S. Shatakshari has welcomed the circular of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. The dress code worn by government employees should not cause embarrassment to others. He said that decency should be maintained in government offices.
The government has started laser and movement registers to track the movement of government employees. It has been said in the circular that government employees should make entries in these ledgers while coming and going to the office. But, many people are not following this rule.
