Ranveer Singh’s multi-starrer film Dhurandhar seems to be in trouble. Since the release of the trailer, it was being said that Ranveer has played the role of Major Mohit Sharma in the film. Meanwhile, the family of Major Mohit Sharma filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding a stay on the release of the film, which was heard on Monday. After hearing all the parties, the court asked the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to keep in mind the concerns of the family and if they wish, they can send the film to the Armed Forces.
The case was heard by Justice Sachin Dutta. He gave the verdict after hearing the arguments of the lawyers appearing on behalf of the petitioner, filmmakers and CBFC. He said in his decision, “It is stated that the CBFC has not yet taken a decision on the certification of the film and its process is going on. The petition is disposed of with the order that the CBFC will take into consideration the concerns of the parents. If the CBFC wishes, it can refer the matter to the Armed Forces.”
