Dhurandhar Movie Kasab Role: Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar is currently hitting theaters across the country. Many veteran actors have been cast in the film. Also, casting director Mukesh Chhabra is being praised because he cast such actors even in small roles, who have done very well. One of them is Dalvinder Saini, who has played the role of terrorist Ajmal Kasab in Dhurandhar. Even though Dalivander’s role in Dhurandhar is small, he has come into limelight because of the character he played on screen.
Dalvinder Saini recently told in a conversation on Zoom how he stalwart Selected for the role of Ajmal Kasab in? He also talked about Ranveer Singh and said that he is his idol. Dalvinder also shared about his preparations for the film. The special thing is that Dalvinder did not get the character for which he had auditioned. The makers selected him for the role of Kasab.
Dalvinder told that he had received a call for audition from MCCC (Casting Company). After getting the scene, he prepared for it and then gave the audition. However, after a few days he was told that he had been selected for some other role. He says, “I was happy and surprised too, when I came to know that I have to play the role of Kasab. Actually, I had auditioned for some other role, that character did not even have a name.” Dalvinder said that he was quite nervous because this was not a fictional character.

How to prepare for character?
Saini told that to prepare for the role of Mentally and Physically Kasab, he learned and read a lot. Took information about the smallest things related to Kasab, like his background, illegal activities, terrorism and how such systems work. Apart from this, he also collected information about 26/11 attack and what happened after that. He also watched many videos and read articles to understand how terrorist organizations mislead the youth and turn them into human weapons. He watched many videos of Kasab so that he could understand his movements and body language.

What did you say about working with veterans?
Dalvinder said, “The set on which Ranveer Sir and Arjun Rampal sir, it is an honor for me to work there. But everyone there was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I learned madness and passion for my craft from him. He used to pay attention to the smallest detail and his curiosity to make the work perfect inspired me a lot.”
Dalwinder says, “There was a poster of Ranveer Singh on the wall of my room.” He said that it was nerve-wracking to sit at the same place with the person whom I considered my idol. Although he was very chill and caring. When I entered the set, he was sitting on the sofa, and that moment was magical. Seeing your idol in front of you as your co-actor is also like a gift. Dalvinder told that after seeing his work, Ranveer Singh had said, “Danny, you are doing well, keep doing like this.”
