  1. This is Virat Kohli’s 52nd century in ODI cricket and thus he broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar (51 Test centuries) for most centuries in one format.
  2. This is Kohli’s third century on Ranchi ground. He has scored 519 runs in 5 innings on this ground with the help of 3 centuries and one half-century. His average was 173 and strike rate was 110.
  3. With this century, Kohli scored 3 centuries in the third venue in India, which is the highest for any batsman. He has also scored 3-3 centuries in Visakhapatnam and Pune. Whereas Sachin Tendulkar had scored 3 centuries in Vadodara.
  4. Not only this, Kohli has become the batsman to score maximum 6 centuries in ODI against South Africa. He broke the record of David Warner and Sachin Tendulkar (5).
  5. This century of Kohli is the 7000th century in the history of international cricket. The first century was scored by Charles Bannerman of England in 1878.
  6. With this, this is Kohli’s 59th time scoring fifty or more in ODI on Indian soil and here too he broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar (58).
  7. Not only this, this is only Kohli’s second century this year. Earlier, he had scored a century against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy.
  8. During this innings, Kohli made another century partnership with Rohit Sharma. In this way, the average of the partnership of both of them in ODI cricket reached more than 58, which is number-1 in the whole world.
