
Dense fog in Delhi is also affecting air traffic, due to which flights are getting delayed and many flights are having to be cancelled. At least 138 flights were canceled due to fog on Saturday (20 December). These include 69 outgoing and 69 incoming flights, due to which passengers are facing a lot of trouble.
According to the information, a total of 138 flights were canceled at Delhi Airport on Saturday. This includes 4 international arrivals, 5 international departures, 63 domestic arrivals and 66 domestic departures. In such a situation, passengers are advised to get flight information and alternative travel arrangements from their airline.

Flight operations disrupted due to dense fog
For the last several days, flight operations are being disrupted due to dense fog at Delhi and other airports. Due to low visibility, flights are being canceled and many planes are getting delayed. Last Friday (December 19), about 177 flights were canceled due to fog, while more than 500 flights were delayed. These include both departure and arrival.
Delay in operation of 500 flights
According to flight information website flightradar24.com, around 500 flights were delayed at the airport. Sharing a post on social media, the Civil Aviation Ministry said that it is working closely with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and decisions are being taken based on real-time weather forecast.
Air India Express posted
Air India Express on Friday had canceled flights from Delhi to various places including Pune, Ranchi, Indore, Patna, Goa, Varanasi and Jodhpur, and also canceled some other services. While sharing a post on social media, the airline said that these flights were canceled due to fog.
On Friday, IndiGo said on social media that there is severe cold and dense fog in Delhi NCR, Amritsar, Jabalpur and Jalandhar. There have been changes in flight schedules due to fluctuations in visibility levels, and due to changes in conditions, operations may be slower than normal. IndiGo said that our ground teams are giving priority to compliance with safety and visibility related requirements.
1,300 flights operated from Delhi
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) operates Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), which is the largest airport in the country and typically handles around 1,300 flights per day.
