Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav made a post on social media regarding the definition of Aravali within 100 meters radius. In this post he has described Aravali as the natural protective shield of Delhi. He said, dear people of Delhi, if Aravali remains, Delhi will remain green! Saving Aravali is not an option but it should be a resolution. Don’t forget that NCR will survive only if Aravalli is saved.
Responding to this, Akhilesh said that saving Aravali is inevitable because it is a natural protective shield or rather a natural shield for Delhi and NCR. Only Aravali can show the disappeared stars of Delhi again and can save the environment.
The Aravali mountain range reduces the air pollution of Delhi and plays an important role in rain and water. The biodiversity of NCR has survived only from Aravali. This can save the wetlands which are disappearing. Can call back missing birds.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the temperature of NCR is controlled by Aravali only. Apart from this, there is also an emotional attachment to Aravali which is a part of the cultural-historical heritage of Delhi. Saving Aravali means saving the future of Delhi, otherwise the people of Delhi who are struggling to take every breath will never be able to come out of the deadly situation like smog. Today, the worst and most dangerous impact of pollution is on the elderly, sick and children of NCR. Even the world famous hospital and medical service sector here has been badly affected, people who used to come to Delhi to get cured of their diseases are no longer coming to get sick.
Expressing concern, socialist leader Akhilesh Yadav said that if this situation continues, Delhi will lose its importance as the largest market and economic center of North India. Leave aside foreigners, even domestic tourists will not come here.
Nor will any big event be organized in Delhi. Nor will any political, educational, academic, social, cultural or literary conference be organized. Nor will any major sports competition like Olympics, Commonwealth or Asiad be organized. He said that hotels, restaurants, taxi-cabs, guides, handicraft businesses, every business and all other economic-social activities here will come to a standstill.
Who will come to Delhi again?
Akhilesh Yadav said that due to pollution, when airplanes will not operate, trains will be late for hours, road transport will become unsafe, then who will come to Delhi? It will even have the effect that people will start thinking about the air and water of Delhi before deciding the marriage of their daughter or son. That is why along with every citizen, every school-coaching, every trader, every businessman, every shopkeeper, every street vendor, every household, every family should become a part of the Save Aravali campaign. Every channel, every newspaper should run this campaign.
Akhilesh Yadav said that those who are flattering the government should also understand that their own lives are also in danger. Saving Aravali means saving ourselves. If the destruction of Aravali is not stopped then BJP’s conspiracy to legalize illegal mining and immense hunger for land will make the country’s capital the pollution capital of the world and people will be forced to leave Delhi. That is why let us all come together to save Aravali and defeat the dirty politics of BJP with the power of people and public opinion.
