Delhi: Big action in protest case at India Gate, court sent 3 accused to police custody

In the India Gate prostate case against pollution, the police presented three accused in Patiala House Court. During the hearing, the police told the court that protest was being carried out at India Gate without permission. After which the court sent the accused Ravjot, Gurkirat and Kranti to police custody for 3 days.

During this, the court directed the Delhi Police that a female officer will interrogate the female accused. Also, the court sent accused Ayesha Wafia to judicial custody for 3 days. Actually, Delhi Police had sought 10 days custody of these 4 accused. In this case, the court has sent the remaining 8 accused to judicial custody for 7 days. On the other hand, the lawyer of the accused argued that the police had enough time to interrogate the students and till now no concrete evidence has been found against them.

What did the lawyers of the accused say?

The lawyer of the accused said, who do they want to interrogate? These students have already been granted bail in another similar case registered at Sansad Marg police station. After the hearing, the court has sent 3 people to police custody for three days. Ayesha Wafia has been sent to judicial custody for 3 days. He said that efforts will be made to get the students bail on the next date.

Police is looking for answers to these questions

What was the big conspiracy behind the India Gate Protest? Who were supporting these sisters? And was it just a spontaneous protest or was there an organized network working behind it? Apart from this, what is their connection with the banned organization RSU? Investigation of all these questions is going on. The police will now interrogate the accused taken into custody regarding these questions.

What is the whole matter?

A total of 23 protesters have been arrested in two separate cases in the India Gate Protest case. 17 people were arrested in connection with the clash that took place at Sansad Marg police station. 6 protesters have been arrested on charges of pepper spray in the case of Kartavya Path police station. Out of these, 15 accused of the Sansad Marg case have been re-arrested by the police in the Kartavya Path case. Of these, 7 were formally arrested on 25 November and 8 on Friday.
