
After the arrest of Amit Singh Tata in the case of smuggling of cough syrup containing codeine, which is used in drugs, the police has also arrested the main accused Shubham Jaiswal’s father Bhola Prasad. He has been arrested from Kolkata Airport.
It is being told that Bhola Prasad was in search of the country and had planned to escape to Thailand, but before that the police caught him. The arrest of Bhola Prasad is being considered a big success for the police. With this, many more big revelations are expected in this smuggling case. At present the police is interrogating Bhola Prasad.
Shubham Jaiswal left the country and fled to Dubai
Meanwhile, Shubham Jaiswal, the mastermind of the cough syrup smuggling gang, has fled the country before his arrest. After being named in the smuggling of cough syrup in the investigation of Ghaziabad Police, surveillance and location details revealed that Shubham went from Ranchi to Kolkata on November 5 and from there he took a flight to Dubai. Along with Shubham, his family and both partners Gaurav Jaiswal and Varun Singh are also hiding in Dubai.
FIR registered in Varanasi police station
Police has registered the first FIR in Varanasi Kotwali on the organized racket of illegal smuggling of cough syrup in Varanasi. The names of a total of 28 people including Shubham Jaiswal and his father Bhola Prasad are included in this FIR. According to officials, as soon as the FIR was registered, the accused Shubham Jaiswal ran away.
Amit Tata revealed many secrets
Here, Amit Tata, arrested in the cough syrup syndicate, has revealed many secrets during police interrogation. Amit Tata has confessed that cough syrup worth crores of rupees was procured with the help of fake firms and it was smuggled and sent to Bangladesh. The entire syndicate was running through about 100 firms. According to Amit Tata, Shubham absconded only after the arrest of gang member Vibhor Rana in Ghaziabad, but is in touch with everyone.
