Demanding the Narendra Modi government at the Center to take up this matter with the Bangladesh government, he said, “The Indian government should pay attention to the increasing violence against Hindu, Christian and Buddhist minorities in the neighboring country and strongly raise the issue of their security with the government there.”

Apart from Priyanka, another senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot also demanded intervention from the Center in this matter. Gehlot said in his post on X that the news of renewed violence and attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh is “extremely worrying and condemnable”.

The resurgence of violence in Bangladesh and the incidents of targeting of Hindu minorities there are extremely worrying and condemnable.

It is surprising that the Indian government has remained a mute spectator on this sensitive issue for a long time. This silence of the Center is further encouraging the anti-India external forces there.
