There has been an uproar over the RSS T-shirt of standup comedian Kunal Kamra. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha workers reached the police station in Nagpur, Maharashtra and demanded an FIR. These activists, while submitting a memorandum at Ganesh Peth Police Station in Nagpur city, have lodged a complaint against Kunal Kamra and demanded action. During this period, slogans like ‘BJP Yuva Morcha in the honor of Sangh are being raised in the ground’ were raised outside the police station by the BJP Yuva Morcha.
Actually, comedian Kunal Kamra had targeted Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) by wearing a T-shirt on social media. A post was also made on social media regarding this. BJP and its ally Shiv Sena have reacted strongly to this post. He also warned of police action against the comedian. On Monday, Kunal Kamra had posted a photo on the social media platform Instagram. In the photo was a T-shirt with a picture of a dog, along with the mention of RSS.
‘Police will take action’
Maharashtra Minister and senior BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule also reacted to this post. He warned that police action can be taken against people posting ‘objective’ content online. He said that the police will take action against anyone posting such objectionable posts.
On this matter, BJP’s NDA ally Shiv Sena also demanded action against Kamra. Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Sanjay Shirsat appealed to BJP to give a strong reply on the post. Also highlighted Kamra’s previous statements on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Sanjay Shirsat said that earlier he had targeted Prime Minister Modi and Eknath Shinde and now he has dared to attack RSS directly. BJP should answer this. He said that Kamra has mustered the courage to post objectionable posts against RSS. Also remembered Shiv Sena’s reply to the comedian’s comment on Eknath Shinde.
