Bhaum Pradosh Vrat 2025 Date: Pradosh fast is considered to have special significance in Hindu religion. This fast is observed to obtain the blessings of Lord Shiva. - According to the Hindu calendar, the time of Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is as follows.
- Start of Trayodashi Tithi: 2 December 2025 (Tuesday) at 3:57 pm.
- End of Trayodashi Tithi: 3 December 2025 (Wednesday) at 12:25 pm.
Pradosh Vrat puja is always performed during Pradosh period. Pradosh Kaal is the time after sunset and before night. Since Trayodashi Tithi will be prevalent in Pradosh period on the evening of 2nd December, Therefore, Bhaum Pradosh Vrat will be observed on 2 December 2025 (Tuesday) only.
Worship method of Bhaum Pradosh fast
Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. Take a pledge to fast. Keep Belpatra, Dhatura, Aak flowers, Akshat, incense, lamp, Ganga water and sweets ready for the puja. During Pradosh Kaal i.e. in the evening, take bath again or wash your hands and feet and become pure. Install the idols of Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati and Ganesh ji on a post.
First of all anoint Shivling with Ganga water and raw milk. Shivalinga Offer Belpatra, flowers, hemp, Dhatura etc. After this chant the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivay’. Read or listen to the story of Pradosh Vrat. At last perform Aarti of Lord Shiva and distribute Prasad among everyone.
Importance of Bhaum Pradosh fast
When Pradosh Vrat falls on Tuesday, it is called Bhaum Pradosh. The word ‘Bhoom’ is related to the planet Mars. It is believed that by observing this fast and worshiping Lord Shiva, devotees get relief from diseases and get health benefits. This fast is especially considered good for getting rid of debt. People who have Mangal Dosh in their horoscope get benefits by fasting and worshiping on this day. The effect of this fast brings happiness and peace in marital life and attainment of wealth.
