Buying or selling items related to Sun on Sunday is considered inauspicious.

  • It is believed that buying things like oil, salt and iron should also be avoided on this day.

What to do: For the blessings of Sun God, offer Arghya to the Sun with a copper pot.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. For this reason, traveling in the west direction on Sunday is not considered auspicious and is considered ‘Disha Shool’.
